Peru and Bolivia are countries where many roads are dirt tracks impassable by traditional car.
The 4×4 is necessary to venture far from big cities and go to encounter wildlife, villages and sites relatively inaccessible.
As soon as we leave the traditional road network, the 4×4 becomes mandatory, of course for all the Altiplano, where a good guide is as indispensable as the 4×4.

South Lipez (Bolivia)
Discover in a 4×4 trip the amazing extended and landscapes of deserts of salt Coipasa and Uyuni, and South Lipez. The Laguna Verde, Blanca and Colorada, colonies of flamingos, rock formations, the Dali desert, volcanic activity of Sol de Mañana, the island of giant cactus Inka Wasi, herds of vicuña … are so many natural treasures that punctuate your journey. (At least 4 days)
Earth of Aymaras, alpacas and llamas, the Sajana Park is planted in an incredible lunar landscape. Located in the heart of the Altiplano, it is dominated by Mount Sajama, which culminates at 6500 m and a string of volcanoes that mark the border with Chilli. This route takes you into the ghost town of Tomarapi where you will meet the breeders. (At least 2 days)
Discover the Afro Bolivian villages located in the heart of the Yungas valley, borrowing a 4×4 to La Cumbre, the road known as the world’s most dangerous when the trucks were still running-. Carved on a mountainside La Cumbre consists of a serpentine path of 45 km length which scale the Altiplano, located at about 4000 md altitude, to the Amazon jungle. The contrasting landscapes are unique. (At least 2 days)
Sacred Valley of Incas (Peru)
The Inca agricultural laboratory of Moray, the salt mines of Maras (thousands of salt wells operated since Inca times), the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo are many archaeological treasures that you discover over a sumptuous journey on track. Crops of potatoes, quinoa, corn, wheat, barley, tarwi… abound along the route where you can watch the friendly peasants, working the land according to ancient techniques. (At least 1 day)
Lares Valley (Peru)
Crouched behind a neck of 4000m above sea level, the Lares Valley offers a wonderful glimpse of the mythical Andes. Throughout the expedition on track Q’ochoq you follow the river and its waterfalls and lush vegetation of a pass to a more arid. On those lands where thousands of high lamas and alpacas, you’ll meet men, women and children leading a herd, or simply placed there, living another life in another time … (At least 2 days)
Route of jewels (Bolivia)
This route you will discover the treasures of Bolivia. It takes you on a mineral world in perpetual motion and gives you the feeling of gliding on the open heart of the Earth. Each day rival visions of amazing: the white immensity of the Salar de Uyuni with its atmosphere of Wild West and its small villages outside of time, geo-thermal sources with the volcanic chain in the background, the Laguna Verde and Colorada paradise of flamingos and viscachas. Tupiza and to end the trip we have the colonial cities of Potosi and Sucre.
